Children Swimming Lesson – Swish Fun for Sisters
Swimming is fun when sisters swim together!
This afternoon, sisters N and YH came for their swimming lesson at Haig 162! They walk from home to the sheltered pool, and always have some time to warm up in the pool before the lesson starts.
5 year old YH is beginning to gain more water confidence. When she first began swimming lessons, she was concerned about water on her face and was rather apprehensive. As her confidence grows, she becomes more enthusiastic in learning to place her face in the water and holding her breath. She has grown more independent and loves taking the initiative to practise on her own. Floating is a key water safety skill that YH is learning. Her kicking has also improved over the past few months, and she is going to learn proper strokes soon. Well done, YH!
Older sister N is trying her best as well. She is slowly gaining water confidence through skill repetition, and after some talking to and guidance, she is able to put her face in the water for the first time, kick and paddle with the help of the kickboard, and learn to float with the aid of the noodle! Continue to work hard, N! You can do it!
