Children Swimming Lesson – Sunday Fun with S and JD #2
A beautiful Sunday for a great swimming lesson!
We last wrote about S and JD about a month ago, and we love to share how much they have progressed within a month! Sunday morning was bright and cheery, with lots of sunshine and warm water to swim in. The two were ready to go after missing a couple of lessons previously. The children did a short warm up using the kickboards to practise their paddling and kicking.
Since our last post, S has improved tremendously. She is now able to kick off the walls and the floor on her own, hold her breath, and do doggy paddles towards a destination on her own. Now, she’s learning to coordinate her breathing and strokes at the same time. Multi-tasking is not easy and this will take some time and practice. She is very comfortable in the water now, compared to when she first started 3 months ago. She is self-motivated and it is very encouraging to watch her initiate practice. Well done, S!
JD is very confident in the water and enjoys tumbling underwater like a dolphin! He learns things very quickly and has been improving on his rocket-pizza strokes, a prelude to breaststroke. He was learning how to coordinate his breathing and rocket-pizza strokes to simulate breaststroke, and he was able to do this on his own within the first couple of attempts! Keep up the good work, JD!
Love to see the kids enjoying themselves in water! If you are looking for a swim coach for your child, drop us a message for your trial class now!
